q: What is your Hogwarts house? a: Hufflepuff! After reading the books for the first time, I wanted to be a Slytherin, but I knew it wasn't going to happen. I am really happy with Hufflepuff, though, and I wish we got more representation!
q: What is your Meyers-Briggs personality type? a: INFP-t! I really like the posts on Pinterest that have lists of aesthetic things associated with the types, like for mine, there's wildflowers and watercolors, road trips and stargazing, old books and sunsets.
q: What is your favorite food? a: I love oysters! The best place to get them is at the Indian Pass Raw Bar in Cape San Blas, FL. A lot of people think it's weird that its my favorite food, but I can't help it! I like all kinds: raw, baked and steamed!
q: Do you have a favorite book? a: Yes! Faking Normal by Courtney C. Stevens. I have read it at least four times from front to back. I really connected with it the first time I started reading it and I quickly fell in love with Lex and Bodie, the two main characters, as well as Stevens' writing style.
q: What is your preferred form of social media? a: Either Amino or Pinterest. Pinterest is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine, I go on there a lot! I always say that it is for getting inspiration, but it's not helpful if I spend all my time on there and don't follow the things I'm looking at!
q: What is your favorite song? a: Oh, that's hard! I'd have to go with Heaven by Troye Sivan, Smoke Filled Room by Mako, and Boy With Luv by Halsey and BTS as my top three, I can't really pick just one! I have such a wide range of music I like, from 80s music to musical numbers to movie soundtracks and more!
q: What kind of art do you like? a: Oh, all kinds! I like to paint, make crafts, take photos and sing, and I like looking at and/or listening to folk art, statues, paintings, drawings, photos, dance, music, and so much more.
q: What is your favorite trip have you been on? a: Summer before my 6th grade year, I went to Europe with my family. We went to London, Belgium, and Paris. Paris was definitely my favorite. I wore a lilac ballerina dress one day and I felt really at home. A random tourist gave me a rose and a French man tried to talk to me in french. When I told him I did not speak french, he laughed and said that he just wanted to tell me I was beautiful. I saw Notre Dame and the Arch de Triumph and the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. It was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back someday.
q: Do you prefer the beach or the mountains? a: Definitely the beach! I love the mountains but I am truly a beach girl. I have a pink sparkly cruiser bike, and one time when I was riding it, someone made a joke about the fact that I was in the wrong place, that there was no beach anywhere nearby, and I thought it was so funny! I love how close everything is to each other and the sand and the cute restaurants and the waves and the sunsets and- anyway I love the beach!
q: Do you speak any languages other than English? a: I speak Spanish, although I am not completely fluent yet. I am much better at reading and writing it! I hope to be fluent by the time I am out of high school, and then I will take Korean (to help with my future career) and sign language in college!
q: What do you want to be when you grow up? a: I used to want to be a teacher, but quickly changed my mind after teaching two classes for a science fair! Now, I want to be a live sound engineer/roadie. I want to work one-on-one with a band and run their speakers and mic systems during live performances. I would really like to work with Korean musicians, as I feel drawn to that style of music.
q: Are you religious? a: I consider myself faithful but not religious. My beliefs align similarly with that of Methodist Christians, although there are many moral things the church believes that I, as a bisexual teen in today's society, have different views on. The most important thing that I believe is that we should love and accept everyone.
